The San Juan Evangelista is a residence for college student in Madrid, Spain. This is an historical building and throught the years, it has getting named commonly by people as "Johnny". Actually this building is in a semi-ruinous state, closed its activity many years ago and the project faces its renovation, as new residence for students, adapted to the new needs of students.

ALTERNATIVE SLUM PROGRAM [S.A.P.]
In the old part of Madrid a new urban development is proposed, a reinterpretation of the "slum" concept, occupying the south side of the ancient bridge in Calle Segovia and building a new urban settlement, which provides people with low resources, a home to live in.
Born from an agressive structure as support of the main idea, the slum is going to deploy all across the lower area of the bridge, as well as the side of it.
The planned grid in the floor plan goes up the slope, concentrating on certain areas and shaping the modules of occupation, which as it meets the bridge (vertical element), climbs through it and stays on a screen that it perfectly shows the reticle and its geometry, enclosing within the bridge more units of the slum.
